The SCOOTER Store was impressed by the rich feature set and flexibility of Savant in relation to our needs for a warehouse management system and its integration points with Great Plains eEnterprise
We looked at many WMS vendors and believed that Savant would get us there faster. In addition we felt that the staff at Savant instilled the greatest level of confidence in our minds that they would be able to handle our special requirements. The system has placed the management control of our inventory back into the hands of the people handling our inventory. Our field personnel love the system and the learning curve is very flat which has allowed our field locations to ramp up quickly and use the system correctly.
We have shortened our inventory information latencies from, in some cases days or weeks, to a matter
of minutes. Processes in the field that used to take hours or days to get
assumed into our core ERP system are now happening automatically in a matter of
minutes.
In addition, we have been able to reallocate corporate resources as a
result of the automation of many of these manual processes. Through the
automation of our old manual inventory processes, increase of velocity and
accuracy of our inventory, and tighter control over our inventory in the field,
we are seeing returns that verify our pre-implementation ROI of
$2.4M in cost savings per annum. We have 53 distribution centers nationwide that are connected to our
corporate HQ and systems via a Private IP secured network.
